UPSC Vacancy 2025, Category Wise List, Previous Year Trends

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the UPSC CSE Exam 2025 every year to recruit candidates for various posts such as IAS, IPS, IFS, and more in the government sector. For 2025, the UPSC has released 979 UPSC Vacancy 2025 for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) and 150 for the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) in its official notification. UPSC Vacancy 2025

The UPSC Vacancy 2025 details were announced through the official UPSC Notification 2025 released on January 22, 2025 which aims to fill a total of 979 vacancies, including 38 positions reserved for candidates under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category. These include 12 vacancies for candidates with blindness and low vision, 7 for those with deafness and hard of hearing, 10 for individuals with locomotor disabilities (including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy), and 9 for candidates with multiple disabilities, including deaf-blindness. 

The final number of vacancies will be based on updates from the Cadre Controlling Authorities. Reservations are provided for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and PwBD categories, ensuring inclusive and diverse representation in the civil services.
